Rajeev Ranjan

rajeevRajeev Ranjan is a Policy Specialist with the Financial Markets Group in the Economic Research department at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. His research interests include market microstructure, high speed trading, algorithmic trading and trading related policy issues. He also helps run the Chicago Fed’s Beige Book program. Rajeev started his career in 2006 with GH Financials as a trader, trading Short Sterling interest rate futures at LIFFE before transitioning to algorithmic trading. Prior to joining the Federal Reserve in 2010, Rajeev worked with Chicago-based proprietary trading firm, DV Trading (a division of Rosenthal Collins Group) as an algorithmic trader/programmer and quantitative researcher. Rajeev is pursuing his MBA from Booth School of Business and received a Masters degree in finance from Illinois Institute of Technology’s Stuart School of Business, Chicago. He received his Bachelors degree in information and communication technology from DA-IICT (Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology), India.
