Since 2000, Uriel Scott has worked in equity and energy commodity derivatives trading at Susquehanna International Group, Mirant Corporation, Sempra Energy Trading and Societe Generale. He joined the Strategies group at Constellation Energy Commodities Group in 2006, in a front office quantitative role, and in 2008 joined Sempra Energy Trading. After Societe Generale acquired power and gas trading personnel from Sempra in 2011, he served as de facto head of the front office North American physical power/gas quantitative analytics department, which had a mandate to value all physical power or gas deals with embedded illiquid optionality. Uriel received his Ph.D. in Mathematics and M.S. in Financial Engineering from the University of Michigan in 2000. He also graduated with highest honors from UC Berkeley with a B.A. in Mathematics.
